The five days Vipassana meditation course at the temple will help you to get calm. The Doi Suthep temple on the hill is not only Chiang Mai’s landmark but is also home to a Buddhist meditation centre. You will learn how to meditate and discuss your progress with a meditation teacher. You can watch the monks’ Chanting in the evening.
After the meditation course you will have one week holidays at the Narittaya Resort where you get pampered with massages and delicious food. Yoga classes will help you to harmonize body and soul.
If you are interest in Thailand’s culture and nature, you can also take two day tours in and around Chiang Mai.
Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Mai
Welcome to Northern Thailand‘s cultural capital! The city was also the capital of the Lanna Kingdom in former years. At your day of arrival you will be picked up at the airport and brought to your resort which is located approximately 20 minutes outside the city. The Narittaya Resort & Spa is situated in quiet surroundings and has a big garden.

Day 2: Temple tour and introduction to the Buddhism
Despite having its roots in India, the Buddhism is one of the most important religions in Southeast Asia, especially in Thailand. More than 90% of Thailand’s inhabitants are Buddhists. Thus culture and religion are not separable from each other: Thailand is living the Buddhism! Various temples, the monks in the streets and the mentality shaped by the religion will let you find the Buddhism everywhere you go.
Today, you will get an introduction to the tenet and tradition of the Buddhism. You will learn a lot about the religion which will also prepare you for your meditation course in the temple.
You will visit some of the most impressive temples in the old town and your guide will answer your questions about religion and tradition.

Day 3 – 7: Five days meditation course at the Prathat Doi Suthep temple
Today, you will leave your daily routine behind and enter a very different world: you will go to the Doi Suthep temple on the hill for your five days meditation course. This temple is also Chiang Mai’s landmark and a holly place for many Thais. The temple opened a meditation centre where also foreigners can participate in meditation courses. Find calmness and get new energy! You will stay in simple rooms at the temple. You will meditate every day and discuss your progress with your meditation teacher. You can watch the monks’ Chanting in the evening.

On the seventh day you will end your meditation course with an ending ceremony. Thereafter, you will be brought back to the Narittaya Resort & Spa.

Days 8 – 13: Yoga and Massages
Deepen your inner peace that you gained during the meditation course with Yoga and Spa treatments. Harmonize body and soul! You will have private yoga classes and you can feel the relaxing effect of massages.

Day 14: Departure
